I had a friend who, as some of you might know, dumped me for another friend I've known for six years. Well, turns out he was keeping something from me about his past (he wasn't who he pretended to be), and I decided to just end the whole thing ‘cause I couldn’t take it anymore 'cause he wouldn't tell me. (The lie involved the fact that he faked being Christian, so I'd go out with him, and that hurt!) I had heard it from his roommate at camp, who had told me because he thought I deserved to know, which I did. It ended up being true, though, so his roommate wasn't just gossipping. Well, this is a song about it. I used it as an example because this was a good lesson for me to learn. I ran from the truth when it was under my nose and gave up, lost faith and hope in it all, in God. Then, finally, the truth was revealed. See? Something terrible might happen and get you down, but God always has a good reason for it. Sometimes, we all (as Christians or not) forget that, and we all run away…
